Ray Favata worked in the New York City area beginning in 1951. Then, as now, the animated films done in New York were short-form commercials and titling. Ray worked as a producer and designer on most of his projects. He did storyboards and even inked some of his TV spots. Images of some of his work can be viewed in Art Directors Annuals from the 50s. Ray's production company shared in winning an Emmy in 1982.
