Lee Guttman began ink and paint work at Warner Bros in 1951. Subsequently, she worked for Disney, Hanna-Barbera, Chuck Jones Films and Bill Melendez Productions. She especially enjoyed working on Rich Entertainment's production of The Swan Princess. Lee was an Ink and Paint Supervisor on Ralph Bakshi's animated version of Lord of the Rings. At times the film's backgrounds were waves of moving color generated by the ink and paint techniques.
