Chris Jenkyns's first studio work was at Storyboard Inc.in1954. He worked on the seminal Jay Ward TV series Crusader Rabbit. He continued to freelance with Jay Ward on the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show as a writer and story board artist. He co-founded the production company Jenkyns, Shean and Elliot in 1964 and then Jenkyns and Associates in 1970. His writing and directing won several New York Art Directors Club Medals including one for the famous John and Marsha spots in 1956. He received an Oscar nomination in 1964 for his short film Self-Defense for Cowards. He wrote The Alvin Show for Format films and several Tom and Jerry shorts in the early 60s. He did a lot of title work including the very popular opening for The Carol Burnett Show.
