Don JurwichWhile finishing at Art Center Collegeof Design in 1954, Don Jurwich began his career in animation at Graphic Films. After a stint in the Army he went to work at Warner Bros Animation.
Between 1961 and 1964, Don was a freelance Director, Writer, Layout Artist and Designer and Pantomime Pictures, Ed Graham Productions, Quartet Films, Solis/Jones Productions, Ray Patin Productions, Warner Bros and Hanna-Barbera.
In 1970 he was at Jay Ward Productions as a designer on George of the Jungle.
In 1971 he was an Associate Producer at Corny Films on commercials.
In 1973 he was head of the layout department at Fred Calvert Productions.
From 1974 1975 he was Director/Creator at Orsatti Productions on a series of educational films.
From 1982 1986 he was a Producer/Director at Marvel Productions on Spiderman and GI Joe, then at Gunther/Wall Productions on The Red Planetand GI Joe Extreme.
In 1997 he was the Director on Columbia Tristar's Channel Umpty three.
Between all those odd-jobs, in his spare time, Don was at Hanna-Barbera on and off from 1965 until 1995, working in variety of capacities, including writer, layout artist, storyboard artist, Producer and Director on numerous
H-B shows, including Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, Captain Caveman, Superfriends, Dirty Dawg, the Emmy-nominated Smurf's, Yogi Bear, Droopy, The Incredible Hulk and many more.
