Bill Matthews began at the Disney Studio in 1955 and worked in the animation department for 12 years. He then became a one - man animation department at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena at the beginning of their Space Exploration Program. 10 years later he was invited to Ontario, Canada's Sheridan College where he co-founded their animation training program. A decade later Bill returned to California teaching at Cal State, Northridge and working part time as an instructor in Script Writing, Filmstrip Production, and Graphic Arts at ITT institute. Disney, in a growth mode in the late 80s, asked Bill to be their Recruiter and Training Manager for the Animation Department. He remained there until 1997 when he retired.
