Doris Plough studied at LA Trade Tech and Art Center, was hired by Disney and assigned to Hal King's unit on Sleeping Beauty. She became Hal's assistant and worked as Lead Key on 101 Dalmatians and Jungle Book. She left the business for several years to raise her children and later she worked at home for Disney. When a supervisor was needed at Filmation to run its assistant animation department, Doris stepped in. After Filmation closed, Doris was a Supervising Character Lead on Cats Don't Dance, was a Key Lead on The Pagemaster and finished her career as Key Lead on The Iron Giant.
