Phil RomanPhil Roman worked his way through Hollywood Art Center School and after two years at Disney, moved to San Francisco's Imagination Inc. Productions for the opportunity to direct commercials. He worked short terms at Warner Bros, MGM and UPA. After working with Chuck Jones on How the Grinch Stole Chrimas he joined Bill Melendez Productions in 1970 and animated and directed there until 1983. In 1984 he founded Film Roman and began producing Garfieldspecials, then a Garfield series, then, at the request of Gracie Films, The Simpsons. Later, for Mike Judge, he did King of the Hill. Since his departure as CEO of Film Roman, has been producing animation from his own privately held company.
