Disney production manager and administrator ED HANSEN passed away December 11 at the age of eighty-two.

Hansen started at Disney in 1952, and worked in the animation department for his entire Disney career. Upon Don Duckwall's retirement, he became the head or production management for the animation division.

Later, Hansen was promoted to Vice-President of Animation (for a time, he was co-veep with new Disney employee Peter Schneider). Hansen retired after thirty-six years at the Mouse House, going on to a long, happy retirement in Solvang. In 2005 he received the Animation Guild's Golden Award.
