From the August 2007 Peg-Board

Assistant animator, producer and director JOHN MARSHALL died on July 3 at the age of seventy-eight. Since 1955 he worked for Animation Inc., Storyboard Inc., UPA, Bakshi, Hanna-Barbera, Filmation and Marvel. He produced The Adventures of the American Rabbit for Murakami-Wolf and directed Please Do Not Touch for Fred Bresee.
